About Shiloh MacNally
Shiloh MacNally represents people who have been wrongly denied insurance benefits by corporate insurance companies as well as individuals who have been subjected to discrimination in their employment.
Shiloh is a recent graduate from the University of South Dakota School of Law. She has, however, been working in the legal field for over a decade. Prior to going to law school, Shiloh worked for eleven years as a litigation paralegal. She has been recognized statewide for her work and was elected President of the South Dakota Paralegal Association from 2000 to 2001.
During her years as a paralegal, Shiloh was involved with defending insurance company clients. As such, she was required to become familiar with how insurance companies evaluate claims and what rationales they use to deny them. This invaluable experience now helps her to better understand the claims practices of insurance companies. Shiloh was also a paralegal for several years assisting with employment discrimination cases. This work provided her with the insight into the devastation and impact that results from being subjected to discrimination in the workplace. Her focus and dedication as a paralegal attracted national attention when the magazine, “Legal Assistant Today,” published a story about the work she did on an employment discrimination case.
After years as a paralegal, Shiloh decided to go to law school. This was no easy task as she was, and is, a single mom rasing three small children. Even so, she was determined to further contribute in making a difference in people’s lives. Her greatest sense of fulfillment comes from helping those people who alone cannot fight the fight necessary to right the wrongs committed by corporate wrongdoers.
Shiloh is committed to sharing her unique experience in the legal field and has been a speaker many times across South Dakota and has taught undergraduate classes on First Amendment law.
